A few days ago I made some chewy, delicious chocolate chip cookies. (Okay, they were the Place-and-Bake cookies from a bag, but who cares? They were still good.) Anyways, they had Hershey kisses in them and they were gooooood! The plate behind them in the picture says "Cookies for Santa", but they were really for me....errr...I mean
me and my family. That night when I was eating my third giant chocolate chip cookie, (or my fouth or my fifth....) Jonathan reminded me of the time Momma made some oven mitt cookies.
Ahem.....Once upon a time, Momma wanted chocolate chip cookies. So she made some. After she put the cookies in the oven, she sat down at the kitchen table. A few minutes later she called to Daddy, "Roy, do you smell smoke?!?".
"No"
She jumped up from the table, (Because she was really freaking out at this time...) opened the oven, and smoke began to pour from the oven! She grabbed the pan of cookies, and set them on the counter...and an oven mitt fell off of the bottom of the pan...(Or what was left of an oven mitt)
After the cookies had cooled, we had a taste. They tasted like oven mitts. Yummy! They went into the trash can. (It was really a waste of Place-and-Bake cookies)
