Friday was dress rehearsal for our Christmas musical/drama at church AND Amanda's Christmas performance at school.
The Church music and drama was on Saturday and Sunday
This is Amanda's class reciting the 'Best Day of the Year'
Listen for the man at the end say 'amen!'
If he said it once, he said it a hundred times!
The band played 'Away in a Manger', and Jaden sang along!
If you will remember in an earlier post, I made the comment about what we were to call people who kept their ball caps on in the house, or a restaurant, etc...
You may use that term to describe this guy in the CHURCH SANCTUARY!!!!
This is me getting my make-up to be an Angel.
Daddy said I didn't need any, 'cause I already was!
Mr. Clyburn was one of the Wise Men.
His Bible had a 'Strongs' footnote that described the Wise Men's Hush Puppies!
Here I am with some of the other angels on stage.
This is Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus.
Mommy, Daddy, and Jonathan playing the handbells before the drama.
Daddy and Jonathan did the special music Sunday morning.
If you watch closely you can see Daddy move his music on the stand to find page three, but it wasn't there!!
IT WAS ON THE FLOOR!!!!
He had to 'wing' it! Ha! Ha!
Mommy said he shouldn't have been so cocky!
I saved the best stuff for last!
'It's a wonderful Life' was on TV Friday night. Did you watch it? Did you know that in 1947, the FBI considered this movie to be communist propaganda?
Check out this link.
Well, because of that, there were actually two endings shot for the movie. The second is the one we're all familiar with, and ends with the scene of the good townsfolk and the Bailey family all singing around this mound of money. That was to appease the FBI. Back in 1986 or so, the original ending was found and made public.
For me, this is how the movie should have ended.
